After trying out many hosting and domain registration companies in India, I tried Godaddy.com and few other US hosting companies.
As I have more then 700+ domains and about 15 running websites, I was looking for easy to manage but robust control panel where it do not take much technical skill and least possible time for making changes.
GoDaddy was the perfect tool and even after being using it for more then 30 months, I do not plan to shift .It never gave me a chance! I still rate it as # 1 for domain registration.
i use godaddy for all my domain purchases, if you look around the web for coupon codes you can get domains cheaper than anywhere else.
I too use goDaddy for my domains. If there is anything contentious about the domain, I would go elsewhere - GoDaddy aren’t exactly brave when it comes to standing up for your domain.
I wouldn’t recommend GoDaddy personally. Their prices have been slowly creeping up, purchasing a domain is very annoying, and the interface doesn’t seem very stable. I often have to submit changes three and four times before they actually save.
I started using GoDaddy in 2002-2003 and I did have to use customer support once then. It did take a very long time to resolve a nameserver issue but they did get it fixed eventually.

I don’t recommend GoDaddy, Wild West Domains, or Domain 875. Their low prices will lure you in. Then, once you’re a paying customer, your troubles will start with GoDaddy, Wild West Domains, or Domain 875! You will save $3 or $4 PER YEAR, but you will spend $400 or more trying to extricate yourself from the mess they will drag you in! Purchasing a domain through GoDaddy, Wild West Domains, or Domain 875 is an unpleasant experience you will want to forget. Their whole company doesn’t seem very stable — mentally. These days I call their “No Service Customer Service” three and four times per DAY!
Don’t be penny wise and pound foolish! GoDaddy / Wild West Domains / Domain 875 are definitely not recommended! Check with the BBB! As of today, GoDaddy / Wild West Domains / Domain 875 has a “B MINUS” rating and 28 complaints! And for every one of those 28 complaints there are hundreds and hundreds that the BBB doesn’t even know about!
